When i start printing the first few pages begin well in a new page but after printing about three to four pages it stops recognising the page break and continues printing on the same page eventually whatever should have been on different pages now appear on the same page.

It is probably not the printer problem . First confirm it by taking 2-3 windows test pages . If it is coming properly than your problem is surely form the package you are using. Ask the system administrator to rectify the problem from the software . page length and printer emulation must be added in the software.
you need to create a forms for your specified paper size. 1.open printer and faxes in win xp. 2.file...server properties...create a new form(check) 3.type a name for forms 4.type a size in below boxes...(like 10 x 12 paper , width is 10 inch, height is 12 inch) 5.save it 6.close 7.rht click the printer...device setting tab... select a form name in the tray . 8.it will work
Calibrating the temperature resolves the THS error in most cases.
The ‘Temp Cal’ functions can be carried out in the following way;
·Start with the printer powered OFF and at normal room temperature ·Hold down the ONLINE and SETUP button and power the printer back on ·Keep the ONLINE and SETUP button held down until the display reads ‘PRINT TEMP. CAL’ along the top line ·Press the button under ‘TEMP CAL’ (button 3) ·Using buttons 2 or 3 change the Temp Setting to match the temperature of the room the printer is used in (change this value by at least 1 degree even if it is correct to force the printer into recalibrating. ·Then press SET to save the settings.
If the printer continues to display the THS error, the problem can be caused by;
Incorrectly seated print head
Damaged or incorrectly seated head cable
Fault with Main Board, Interconnect Board or the print head.
If the printer has an internal network card the easiest way to change the IP address is through the printers own Web page, this can be accessed by entering the current IP Address of the printer in your Web Browser.
Go to the Advanced Section, then TCP/IP you can then change the IP Address of the printer.
You can find the current IP Address set in the printer by pressing the small black test button near the network port.
Alternatively you can use ARP for help on this open the DOS prompt and type ARP /?
