My laptop no longer recognizes the printer connected to my desktop or the shared files from the desktop. I recently installed Norton Internet Security....is that what caused the problem? If so, can I fix...

there is a possibility that norton firewall is blocking it. You can go to firewall settings from your norton antivirus and allow network sharing or turn off norton firewall, You can still use your windows firewall just to make sure you are protected

I am connect to my wifi but i cant go online..help me please

Assuming your using vista - if your wifi led is blue you must have a wireless router to connect to - left click on the small computer icon with radio wave bars around it on your task bar - it will come up with a menu - connect to a network - select your network - address your password and connect - if it connects but your unable to access the internet through IE - look at your firewall - make sure it's under windows control not by your anti-virus like Nortons 360 - there are some heavy glitches with nortons 360 and windows firewall. Never let Nortons control your firewall.
If you still can not access the internet try getting and loading Firefox 3.6 it works when IE won't.
Let me know how you go.

Problem connecting to Gnutella network Bearshare 5.2.5

    Hi,
This happens often when using Norton & updating. All you need is to remove the previous 'exception rule' and re-add it, so remove BearShare & re-add it as an exception for Norton. Only run one firewall. So choose between Norton & XP's firewall. The reason for this is Norton & XP's firewall clash, & cause problems including less security.

Let us know if you need further clarification.

    Firewall blocking runescape

Disable all firewalls, as Norton, Zone alarm etc.
Also disable windows firewall from control panel.

If it still does not work check the router settings. Routers have internal firewall, you may need to add your laptop's ip or mac address to the firewall as trusted one.

An alternative is connecting laptop by wires to the router, probably the router firewall will let it go , as wired connections are set to less resticted security.
