I want to reset my samsung yp-t9

Complete Solution - includes fix for Bluetooth.
You will need to execute a number of steps to do this:
1 - obtain a copy of the latest firmware from http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/search/supportSearchResultView.do?group=&group_cd=&type=&type_cd=&subtype=mp3others&subtype_cd=&model_nm=YP-T9&dType=D&vType=L&mType=&model_cd=&menu=download&prd_ia_cd=&disp_nm=YP-T9
or (even better) - go to the international site and download a copy of YP-T9 V1.80.zip
2 - Reset - Power off the yp-t9 using A-B and MENU pressed together - hold down A-B and press the POWER button to enter the low-level format mode - press LEFT LEFT RIGHT RIGHT UP CENTRE DOWN - the yp-t9 will now reformat - power off using A-B and MENU together
3 - reload firmware - Power on normally and connect to PC as a USB drive. Move the two files you just downloaded (MUON.ROM and SYSDATA.BIN) into the root of the USB drive - Safely remove the drive - Power on the yp-t9 and allow it to re-install the firmware

If you want to restore Bluetooth functionality you will also need to perform the following steps:

4 - pop the four rubber plugs out of the back of the unit - with a small phillips screwdriver remove the four screws - insert your fingernail into the seam of the unit on both sides and pop off the back - gently (slowly) remove the battery taking care not to place any strain on the connecting wires - copy dowm the 12-digit number on the label under the battery (starts 0016xxx...) - replace battery, back, screws and plugs.
5 - using text editor create a file with the 12 digits (use upper-case letters where appropriate) followed by <enter> key - save it as BT_MAC_ADDR.TXT
6 - connect the yp-t9 and open it using Right click on Start and Explore - find the yp-t9 and drag a copy of BT_MAC_ADDR.TXT into the SYSTEM folder - Safely remove - power on normally.

Hope this helps

Can't connect to my pc

Mine had the same problem and here's how I fixed it :
First, connect your YP T9 to your PC

Once connected, on your PC go to :
-Start
-Control Panel
-System
-Hardware
-Device Manager

Then you'll se your YP T9 appear under either "portable devices" or Universal USB or USB something...And since it's not working properly, you should see a yellow exclamation point besides it.

Then click on the YP T9 with the exclamation point and right click again on it, then press "update driver"...Then follow Window's instruction to update it, it's quite easy...

That should do it! : )

Games

I have done it lots of times .You can even get new themes. All you have to do is download the latest firmware or Go to Download Center at Samsung.com

Click TV, Video & Audio.

Click Digital Audio Player.

Click Yepp.

Click your model. The name of your model is at the back of the MP3.

Click the firmware that you want.

Then you'll come to that page ...If you scroll to the bottom, you'll see

"200703221...etc"

Click on that.

You have to either have Winrar or winzip. Any "extracting" software.

Extract it to desktop or wherever you desire.

When you connect your MP3, there'll be a drive in your "My Computer" probably called YP-T9 [F;].

You drag the firmware that you have downloaded and put it in the 'System' folder.

The files should be MUON.ROM and SYSDATA.

Remove the MP3 from the computer, when you on it again, it would update automatically.

Hope that helps. =

Problems!

You need to reformat the device and then upgrade it to the newset firmware. You should be able to find instructions on how to do this on the Samsung website.

Samsung yp t9

Firstly, "re-set" the T9 (ie hold 'MENU' & "REC', for 3 secs to re-initialise the built-in firmware - refer to your manual, or download manual off Samsung website). This procedure will overide everything. If this gets it goin, then download the latest firmware update from Samsung website (download centre/mp3) and save newest firmware onto your T8 - your manual should explain how to do this. Always update your T9 with latest firmware when available (appropriate with your Windows OS), to eliminate any bugs in the firmware. Failing this, then a replacement battery is the next step. If still under warranty (ie less than 12mnths old), then have an approved Samsung service agent look at it Free of charge. Good luck.
