When I put a CD in my computer to load songs down to my ITunes program library, sometimes it doesn't load all the songs. While it is loading it just cuts off songs in the middle. Does not store musical artist or song name. Having all these problems. Didn't happen when I first loaded songs. Please advise ?
1st I would make sure you have the newest version of iTunes (Free at apple.com/itunes/download) Then I would try not to run any other programs while importing... What OS are you running as well as RAM and Processor? - Vince

I would completely uninstall iTunes and reinstall the newest version from apple.com/itunes/download...
directions on how to do so are here:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?...
let me know if you still have issues after the reinstall...
Yeah it might be your computer...
I would also check to see if the same thing happens when you play the CD in Windows Media Player... If it does then it is most definitely your computer...
Hope you get it worked out...

I reloaded the iTunes folder as you suggested. I can get the artist and song names to show up. It imports songs but they have a "skipping" when you go to play them back. Sounds like something is not in sink ? I have a Dell 820 Laptop. Running Windows XP Professional. 2Mg of RAM.
Thanks for your latest information. I printed out the "uninstall iTunes" information. Followed it 100% which removed everything out of my computer. Then re-installed per the instructions. I have about 400+ songs in my library and they all playback fine. Tried to import a new CD and still have the "skipping" problem. Tried just listening to the CD without importing it. The "skipping" noise is there in the playback. So now I am thinking there is something wrong in the "CD" of my computer. So I am going to work down that path with Dell. Appreciate all your help ! ! !
