Unusable Signal MY RCA 27F530T will be fine for an hour or so (Utilizing all Video Inputs incl. Coax)then the screen will go to black and white. If I unhook the video jack or coax or RGB or S Video, or if I turn off the TV...when I turn it on again it reads "Unusable Signal" , but I can still hear the audio. Any input would be great! Thanks in advance.

I found the part you are referring to except it is TDA6108JF. It has 9 pins, aluminum heat sink and is attached to the PCB on the aft portion of the tube. Is it possible that this is the faulty part?

You may have IB001 going bad, it is RCA P/N 263568, and should have TDA6107q labeled on the IC which should consist of 9 pins soldered into the PC Board and attached to an aluminum heat sink. It is a video IC and could be going bad unless you have a defective solder connection somewhere causing this symptom.

Rca unusable signal

Your TV could be on the wrong input source. if your using red/white/yellow cables look for an inpout button or source or even TV/Video. your tV has many inputs on it and you can only acess them 1 at a time, this allows you to toggle through the input sources and when you get to the right on you'll have picture and sound

Rca big sreen went black and white menue is still in color

Try using one of the other video input options, like AV inputs. If still have black and white picture, then the color processor is having issues. If now in color, then your tuner has issues detecting the chroma / luminance signal.

If you are using an external digital box, this may be the source of the problem as well. If you still have a VCR, connect the coax from VCR to the coax input on the TV, and play a tape. Tune the tv to channel 3 or 4. If in color, then your set top digital box is faulty.

RCA HD52LP: Composite video inputs don't work

RCA Authorized service tech looked at it. He determined that the DM Module need to be replaced. The part alone costs $550 + labor. Since the HDMI and component video inputs seem to work, he suggested buying a VCR DVD combo with HDMI output which would be far less than repairing the tv itself. I'n researching the possibility of purchasing the part myself.

Installation of wii

I had the same problem on a 32" rca crt. It worked fine, power was cut during electrical work and when it came back, "unusable signal." I went into the menu, then channel, then video input source. had to change it to the correct input "s-video in my case" Then it worked. GOOD LUCK!
