SOURCE: locked oven door

Look for a button or sensor which the door would press when closed.
If you find it hold it down for a minute, this should reset the lock
if it doesn't it may do when you let go

SOURCE: oven has been cleaning for hours and won't turn off

You will find that the cleaning cycle takes more than 3 hours. Leave it for at least twice that long before you get concerned. When the cleaning is done and the oven is cool it will unlock

SOURCE: Kenmore 95024 Electric Range The self clean cycle Door stuck shu

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

30" Kenmore gas range door is locked and can not be opened.

If your Kenmore gas range door is locked and cannot be opened, try the following steps:
  1. Check the control panel for any error messages or fault codes. If there are any, try to clear them by unplugging the range for a few minutes and plugging it back in.
  2. Check if the oven is in self-cleaning mode. If it is, the door will automatically lock and will not open until the self-cleaning cycle is complete. Wait for the cycle to finish and the oven to cool down before attempting to open the door.
  3. Try resetting the door latch. Turn off the power to the range for at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on. Press and hold the "Clear/Off" button for three seconds. This should reset the door latch and allow you to open the door.
  4. If none of the above steps work, it's possible that the door latch or locking mechanism is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. In this case, it's best to contact a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the issue.

Whrilpool gas range Mod. GW395LEGD0 Serial IMJ0663181 OVEN DOOR LOCKED CAN NOT OPEN

If its a self cleaning model and you tried to stop it in the middle of the cleaning cycle the door will not unlock. Disconnect it from the power, let it stand a few hours then plug in. If not opening try running the self cleaning mode and let it finish completely. When it finishes after it cools down sufficiently the door lock should go off.

How do I turn on the Self cleaning process?

Shut the door on the oven and turn the "Delay Start Time" knob to the current time. Turn the "Stop Time" knob to 3 hours away from the present time. Turn the "Oven Set" knob to "Clean" and slide the oven door's lock into the locked position. I hope this helps.

After self- cleaning my Kenmore Gas Range, I have not been able to get the 'Cooktop Lock' light turned off! So while I can use my oven for baking I can't turn the gas on the top of my stove! I have...

This may be a silly question but, did you just try turning off the circuit breaker for a couple minutes to see if it resets itself when you flip it back on?

I do not know how to use the self clean feature on my Kenmore Gas stove

Hi

Press the self-clean button to start the cycle. The panel becomes blank (---), then press the up arrow (^). The panel will appear 3:00 (indication for the duration of self-cleaning). The oven will lock on its own and start the self-cleaning. After self cleaning is done wait for 15-20 minutes and open the door. Please post back for any further assistance. Hope this helps...

DCS gas oven locked

I let the door stay open, hold the switch closed with my finger, activated self clean. Let it run for a minute then hit cancel, the stove heating element shut off and the locked door blinked for 5 seconds then finally stopped. Back to normal.

Oven door won't open

Best bet on this one is to replace the lock assembly. Although you could make a minor adjustment that may help. what you would do is with the door open put latch in lock position and then slightly bend latch to the left, making sure not to twist it. This works about 80% of the time.
