Question about Pioneer DEH-P3700MP CD/MP3/WMA/WAV Receiver

1 Answer

No Sound I was driving along the other day and suddenly all sound stopped in my car. Neither the CD player nor the radio works. There is a connection to the dash system. It even shows that the CD or Radio is playing, but no sound comes out. Since it all happened at once, I assume all four speakers didn't blow out at the same time. If I turn it off for a little while, it will come on for two seconds and then turn off again. What gives? Do I need to check connections? That scares me since I didn't install the radio myself (and may God Bless Fry's Electronics for that) Thanks

That sounds like an earth fault. If you can add a temporary additional earth and see if that cures it over period of time.

Did you ever get this fixed? I'm kind of having the same problem, my radio works but nothing else is. I can hear music on the radio but when I switch to cd or bt (iPhone) ... I hear nothing thought (cd) it recognizes discs and I can see them play but no sound. It played before till one day it stopped. I don't know what changed or was set differently.

Digital Clock and cd player not working

it sounds like you have a bad connection either in the wiring or inside the deck itself. check the wiring for any loose connections or breaks in the wire.

CDA 9885 No idea why it suddenly stopped working

It sounds like you have a bad ground connection. You need to take the radio out and check all the connections. I bet you have a loose one somewhere. That is what the problem was with my bronco

Xtreme sound wms303 cd player..... need a new one?

It sounds like if it only works a day or two and then you disconnect it and re-connect it, and it works again for a day or two, I don't think the problem is how you are connecting it. I think the radio needs to be reset every couple of days. If it has a reset button, just press that and it will at least keep you from disconnecting it and reconnecting it.

This also sounds like it has an internal electronic problem. When you disconnect the radio, it resets the microprocessor. You should have it checked out by a service center, or if you do not want to spend any money on this radio, just get a new one.
