Did you re-fill the black toner cartridge with genuine Ricoh toner or from somewhere else? It might be the wrong granularity.

There's either something blocking the laser in that area, , there's a dirty spot on the charge or transfer corona (if it uses coronas), or something is caught on the wiper blade inside the drum cartridge. Your first step is to see if there is a corona cleaner that slides back and forth and make a test print. If you don't have that, or if that doesn't solve the problem, put the toner cartridge into another of the same printer and see if the problem follows; if it does, replace the cartridge. If it doesn't, look for something obstructing the laser path to the drum, either on the cartridge itself or inside the printer (possibly a label that came loose and is hanging down). If you don't have another printer, then replace the cartridge. If the problem goes away, you had a bad cartridge. If it doesn't, see the last paragraph. Let me know how it turns out!

Vertical white skreaks when printing

Check the remaining service life of the drums, also check the condition of your transfer belt. It is most likely your problem is one of those two elements.

Printed document has white streaks. I've replaced all toner cartridges AND replaced the toner waste unit. The streaking occurs when I print or copy but is much worse when I make a copy. Is there a printing...

If you are getting vertical white streaks or faded streaks from the top of the page to the bottom. It sounds like the developer blades in the imaging unit needs to be replaced. It cost around $120 to replace, but after a while it will happen again. This is a common problem with this printer. It can be cleaned by taking the unit apart and cleaning the developer blades, if you are handy. I have posted detail instructions in my tips section. or you can click on this link:

There is a white vertical streak on pages I print.

You can pull out each cartridge and shake it gently to redistribute the toner. Try a half page test to eliminate the various stages of the image formation. The timing on this is not easy but through trial and error it can be helpful.

Hp 4550 vertical line down center of page

From the service manual:

Vertical lines or streaks
Check for a leak where light might be entering the printer.
Check for circumferential scars on the photosensitive drum. If scars are present, replace the
drum cartridge if the line goes through all colors.
Check for circumferential scars on the upper fusing roller. If scars are present, replace the upper
fusing roller if the line goes through all colors.
Remove the imaging drum and inspect main charger or imaging drum for a contaminant, such as
a fiber, if the line goes through all colors.
CAUTION Do not expose the imaging drum to light for more than 15 seconds. The drum is light sensitive, and
exposure to light can cause permanent damage.
Vertical black lines
 The toner cartridge is defective.
The toner cartridge is not seated properly.
 The fuser entrance is dirty.
The fuser has scratches on it.
This might be a repetitive defect. If so, the lines will repeat at a consistent interval down the page.
The printer needs to be cleaned.

Vertical white lines
If white lines or streaks appear only in the black areas of the printed media, print several
configuration pages to clear the anomaly. If this does not clear the problem, check the sleeve
surface to confirm the defect, then replace the black toner cartridge.
If white lines appear only in a particular color, try printing several configuration pages to clear the
error. If the error does not clear, check the sleeve surface to confirm the defect, then replace the
defective toner cartridge.
There is a lack of toner or the toner cartridge is faulty.

Minolta 2300DL Printer - black streaks

Hey Chuck, Any chance you can post a scan of one of the faulty pages ? This will make it easier to assess the fault. Print off about 10 pages of a page that is affected by the lines. Look at each page and see if you can detect a recurring pattern over any of the pages. If there is a pattern, chances are it is probably the PCU that is marked.
