I'm not entirely familliar with this system and also it appears to be discontinued from the manufacturer, it may be possible to "clone" a disk from a working one using Norton ghost or something similar. (but that means finding someone willing to let you dissasemble their working one), with norton ghost you should be able to copy entire disk from the working disk to a new disk. the manufacturer does have a firmware update disk for this but that most likely only updates the system once it is working. If your hard drive is "crashing" and you can still access it, copy any important files off of it thay you want, like docs, pictures, music, etc... From there, you need to replace the hard drive, they are not extermely expensive and easy to install. If this is your main drive with your OS on it, you will then have to reinstall windows or whatever OS you have, then copy your files onto the new hard drive. If you cannot boot up because it is your main drive and has already crashed, your best bet is to get a new one and reinstall your OS, then get an external hard drive reader and try to access it and get your files that you want. If it is crashed, not accesible, the only way is to take it to an expert, which is very expensive. Unless these are "must have, can't live without" files, you probably will just have to take your lumps on losing that data. Either way, when your HDD starts to go, it is usually only a matter of time before it totally crashes so a "repair" or quarentining any bad sectors is only a band aid and will eventually, sooner than later, die on you all the way.

I Cannot use my laptop touch pad,and maybe there is a virus because my OS is not function. thank you!!! God Bless

The Laptop touch pad will have to be addressed after the OS problem has been solved.

XP may have losted files due to a virus of other problems, like the replacement by other software.

Insert the orginal CD and turn on your computer. Windows will run through its tests. Watch the screen because it will guide you to either "reinstall" the OS or just install what the setup has found to either be missing and reinstall those files or replace any corrupt files. If you have been working with this OS for, say a year or two, you may want to consider reinstalling the OS. You will have to reinstall your other software that you have installed since you started but sometimes that is the correct solution, not neccessay the one that you will like.

Good luck!

How do i format it to how it was when i got it

If you still have the disk for your OS then the process is fairly simple. Insert the disc and reboot the computer. While the computer is booting hold down ESC or possibly F2, F8, or F12. A boot menu should open up before your operating system begins to load and you should pick to boot from CD Drive. When the setup loads, go through the menus until you get to the section of where to install the OS. Delete all the partitions on your computer and then reinstall the OS on the new one. This will delete everything on your laptop and just have a clean copy of your OS.

If you don't have the original CD you can download and burn this onto a CD and boot it from CD. This will securely wipe your hard drive.

I have avg security...and its saying that im not protected...some of it wont work...and wont let me fix it

ok so your protection migh tbe infected, sometimes viruses attack your virus protection then utilize it to destroy your OS [operating system]. One issue is that the only to fix it completely is to re-install your OS.

BUT many people dont know how or are affraid of installing it, many people have information on a computer and they want to keep it. My method invovles storing that data in a safe place IE a flash drive, DVDS or CDs, or in some cases the second harddrive on your computer,

also you must own a OS disc with a serial number from your computer.

BUT i have a disc with a modified version of Windows xp professinal so i can reinstall my OS anytime i feel like it. So if i were you i would start backing up your data as your OS may be comprimised. then after saving your Important info and other data you may reinstall or use a recovery mode in your computers,

i know this isnt much help since you prolly dont want to reinstall your OS with all your data, but thats why u should back up your data and then possibly find the solution without the worry of losing it. many times the only way to solve these issues to have a clean install of your OS, but the means to do it are quite complicated if you havent done it before. just PM me if u want the Modified version of windows xp

I don't know how to format my pc. and reinstall xp

before u decided to format and reinstall ur os
check whether the cd and serial is available
1. to format just right click the drive (c:\) where ur os is present the format option in right click popup box
ensure ur format action
now ur os get removed
3.insert ur os disk in cd drive
and follow the instruction specified by the os installation wizard

Can't boot OS because of file missing

You will need to reinstall the file from an OS installation disc. You may have to reinstall the entire OS. If you need to, you should be able to keep any documents and other data you have on the computer, so long as you are reinstalling the same OS. If you want to upgrade to a different one, however, I would recommend that you use another device to boot your computer (a cd, external hard drive, or flash drive with the same OS you have on you computer), and copy all the desired data from you computer onto another storage device before upgrading. It is complicated to just replace the file manually, and it still requires a resource with the file on it (such as the installation disc), so your best would be to just reinstall the OS, or changing the OS.

Bluetooth device not working after windows got reinstalled

What is the old OS and the new OS of your computer? If you upgraded your system, there's a possibility that your Blyetooth device was not supported by your new OS.

Or, you might need to download a new driver that would support your new OS.

Byt if you are running the same OS, try to download the driver from the Internet and reinstall the Bluetooth driver.

Have a great day!
