My 700 digital camera has a broken LCD screen and I am going to attempt to fix it myself when I find out where to buy one from. Please can someone tell me where I can buy a new LCD screen.

I would say the manufacturer would be your best bet to order from. i don't know how LCD screens are but i do know that most camera parts are pretty touchy for being with their own counterparts.

You may be able to fix it yourself if you can find a replacement screen. I usually search ebay for a broken camera with other problems that I can cannibalize. Here's some examples on LCD replacement. Don't recommend that you try this yourself, unless you have at least some experience with electronics.
Otherwise, the cost of professional repair may be close to or beyond the value of the camera. A better option is to sell the camera on ebay for other repair hobbyists to attempt replacing the screen for themselves. You actually may get a good price for the camera IF it's still capable of taking pictures.

Sadly there is no "cheap" solution. These cameras are built en mass and repairing them is most times more expensive than teh entire camera. the screens are very fragile and very expensive to by, so the bad news is that it may be cheaper to buy a new camera than to have yours fixed. (crazy isnt it)
Still, if you are intent on fixing it, you can call your local electronics dealer and ask who looks after warentee items for them (not that it will be fixed under warentee) but it will give you the name of the company that fixes electronics locally. Just make sure you get an estimate prior to handing over the camera as they will charge a minimum $65 just for looking at it!
