    1. Press the Set/OK button, then Menu, then Mono Start followed by the up arrow key four times. These buttons have to be pressed independently and should be done in rapid succession. If you have done this stage right you should be presented with the word ‘maintenance’.
    2. Using the Up/Down arrow keys select the number 8 and then press Set/OK. Then select the number 0 and then press Set/OK.
    3. At this point we need to get in to the Purge option which, depending on the machine will either be a case of pressing Mono Start repeatedly or using the Up/Down arrow. We recommend trying one method and if it isn’t right for your machine turn the printer off and back on again, start the process from the beginning then try the second method.
    4. Once PURGE is on the screen (usually the word purge will be followed by a reading indicating how much ink has been deposited) use the up/down arrows and the set/ok key again to enter the numbers 2, 7, 8 and then 3 on the screen.
    5. The number after PURGE should now reset to zero. Press the Stop/Exit key to go back to the main maintenance mode menu.
    6. Using the up/down and SET/OK keys enter 9 and then 9 again to exit maintenance mode.

    not working

  • Anonymous Aug 15, 2017

I was pretty excited to see that it said maintenance 99 in the end and then refreshed itself, but it just went back to the error message "clean unable 50". is there anything else I can try?

After several unsuccessful attempts, I turned my printer face up and turned it on while holding it in this position. And what? it started to work
Maybe because the ink was easier to flow into the printer.

Machine error 50 is a error in Purge unit. You can't fix it by yourself and your printer need service. In most case the cost of repair is more than cost of new printer.

SOURCE: clean unable 46 error on dcp 135c brother printer

the proper reset code sequence to reset DCP printers without numeric keypad should be as follows:

1. press buttons OK, Menu, Mono Start one by one, followed by up arrow key four times. this should all be done as short a time as possible, around 3 seconds.

2. enter maintenance mode 80 by pressing the up/down arrow key and set key to select numbers 8 and 0

3. press blue MONO start button to select PURGE which requires it to be pressed a number of times before PURGE appears on the LCD screen of the printer

4. then use the up'down key and OK button to enter the reset code 2, 7, 8 and 3 keys to reset the counter : Note this does not overwrite the number next to PURGE on the LCD screen but once the last number is added it gets reset to 0000

5. press Stop/Exit key to go to root of maintenance mode

6. enter 9,9 to exit maintenance mode

Error Message 50

1) Remove Plastic wire covers from inside printers, and release plastic stay on lower edge, tilt cover to 90 Degrees
2) make a note of where each connector goes
3) release the Ribbon and 3 Multicore cables, removing grounding screw, then remove scanner module by sliding it off the hinges at 90 degrees.
4) Remove Three Front Panel Screws, carefully leaver front panel upwards releasing front side clips.
5) Remove front panel by disconnecting ribbon and wireing on both sides.
6) Remove 6 Screws (2 on back, three at front and one middle right
7) Carefully remove speaker cable (Red Connector) and lift up plastic casing, leaving printer uncovered.
8) Re-Seat Encoder Strip into guide. (The Transparent strip)
9) Re-assemble in reverse and Hey Presto.

A handy trick:
Put a 1,5inch tape onto the printhead cover where the encoder strip runs thru to prevent this error in future.

(Please give me a big thumbs up when you rate my answer, thanks.)

Unable to Print 50, not fixed

The 50 series errors have to do with the cleaning station on the right, any paper or foreign matter will stop them from functioning, also a mickey mouse spring loaded gear that likes to stick and give you that error.

Pannasonic Toughbook CF-47 with Windows 2000, get error message: "operating system not found." Tried all 3 drives, rebooting and charged battery fully to no avail??? Please advise. Thank you.

This means that the computer cannot find an operating system on the hard drive. This is often because the hard drive has gone bad. Replace with a new drive and reinstall windows and that will solve your problem. Thanks and please if you could remember to give this answer a rating of fixya; even if the answer isn't the greatest news :c) Thanks! :c)

Frigidaire Electric Range error code

Hi jacksmdmat,
Your f30 problem may be a bad sensor circuit. It may have an open connection or just plain defective sensor. Check the connection between the clock and the sensor as well as disconnect and measure the resistance of the sensor - should be about 1090ohms at room temp (75F)
