I have lost all icons etc for the copy and scan part of my printer. It will print, but not copy or scan. I can not find any mention of these sections of the machine anywhere on the computer. I am wondering if I have deleted them by accident?

Hi John,
Even if you have deleted them by accident, you can always reinstall using the CD that came with the printer/scanner. If you want to do a clean install, then you would probably have to uninstall also the printer drivers and start from scratch. You may also not uninstall and set it up again. If you go this route, it is also possible that you will have two icons in your printer folder of the same hp printer. Assuming nothing is wrong with the hp, the scanner drivers and app would be reinstalled and presumably you will have access now to your copy/scan functions.
Should like to download the installer/driver for you printer/scanner, it is available at (http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&product=79488&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN). You would have to select your operating system.
Hope this works for you. Pls post again how things turn up. Kind regards.

Copier may require you use the scan feature to make copies either ise the feeder otr flatbed. Press start on machine for manual entry but still use scan to get things working.
You will need the Lexmark OCR scan software to scan a document from the printer to your computer and save the file as PDF, word document, etc. The Lexmark OCR scan software is only available in the installation disk. If you don't have the disk or you lost it, contact Lexmark technical support to request for it. Thank you for choosing Lexmark.
hi Heims, The best way to do a scan with this psc is to do it from the software on your Desktop. When you installed the printer the software will have put an icon on your desktop such as HP Solutions or similar. If you double click this icon it will bring up a panel where you can select to scan a picture or document etc. Do the scan from this panel and it should all follow from there. If you don't have an icon for HP on your desktop, open Programmes, find the HP printer programme and double click it to open the panel. You can also click on the program and drag it to your desktop which will create an icon on your destop for you. Good luck BillyWiz

Did you try scanning from your pc? I never use the printer scan button. Most scan buttons won't work without the "print center" program open as the scan always goes to the pc. I mostly use the windows scan program in the control panel. Try this.
unplug the power adapter (**the black Box) from the printerDisconnect the Printer from the computer and then click on start ----> control Panel --------> Printers and Faxes. In printers and Faxes you will find the printer Icon Dell AIO printer , make sure the Status is Ready and there is a Check mark on the printer, right click on the printer Icon and then select Cancel all documents restart the computer and then power on the printer connect the printer to the computer and then try printing.
perfrom these steps and do lemme know if it helps.
sir try uninstalling the whole old printer program on the add/remove icon on the control panel... then reinstall the software again... this is because in the process of installing the printer the software is scanning the installed printer... is not because you have the same unit as before they are one same unit... i mean they still differ on parts model and serial numbers so the OS still need to recognize the new printer installed...
