I was in the middle of writing a word document and the screen suddenly went completely white. I tried a few things to sort it and then tried to reboot. Now sometimes it will reboot to a black screen and sometimes it will keep repeating the acer welcome screen and wont even let me enter the bios settings :(
i solved it... ended up removing the memory and cleaning it with an air spray and putting it all back together... not sure what did it but something got it going :Di solved it... ended up removing the memory and cleaning it with an air spray and putting it all back together... not sure what did it but something got it going :D

If it don't boot and you get a curser then the hard drive lost its boot sector and you will have to run linux recovery cd, if it did not come with a cd then you have to call the manufacture to have the ship one out to you.
Download the original ROM from the HTC site, make sure the ROM you download is for your phone (AT&T 8925)
Charge your phone battery using the wall charger or use another battery charged at least at 50% in case your phone can´t be charged.
While in the tricolor screen connect your phone to your PC, run the exe file you just downloaded and follow the instructions.
After a few seconds you´ll see that the phone screen turns white with a progress bar, wait for 100% completion and a few seconds after you´ll see your phone booting again
Have you got your WindowsXP CD?
You could put it in the CD drive and let it boot from CD. Then select "r" (Repair Option).
This will attempt to re-install your xp without losing data. (Not always possible)
If you have no data on the drive that you want to keep then you could ignore the repair install and try the full re-install.
you will need your motherboard drivers etc for this.
It sounds like your Boot records or system files are corrupt.
