My tv is is brand new i had about six month and the vcr broke that was ok with me but i could not get the tv to stay on you turn it on and in just less than a minute it shuts off. i took it apart and unhooked the vrc that still did not help the dvd does not work either i lost the reciept and the store would not take it back .
My TV did the same thing, as alot of other customers did too. You have to fix the VCR to align right because the on/off switch is connected to it somehow. Apparently this is a common problem with this TV. Now I did fix the on/off problem, but at times my TV will just quit working (can't change channels, turn up volume, or anything). After "messing" with it for about thirty minutes I did get it to work again. By messing with it, I mean hitting it slightly on the side or back. It seems like there may be a loose connection. With all of the problems we have had with this TV I am sure I will not buy this brand again. Our TV was manufactured in 2003 which is not old at all. I had an old Sanyo that lasted for twenty years.
