Question about LG WM2042 Front Load Washer
I have tried running a cycle of vinegar, bleach, baking soda and vinegar, pinesol, you name it and i've tried it; but my washer (LG Front Loader) is only 3 years old and each time I wash towels (this problem doesn't happen with a different load) when they are done washing--they smell really bad. Im not sure what else to try. Im at my witts end. Should I throw them out and buy new or is there something I should be doing to the washer? I cleaned all around the door with CLR and bleach. I lifted up the seal and cleaned under there (boy was that blacker than crap)so I know that the unit is clean.. I've even tried washing in different temps.. help me!!
Tips for a great answer:
Try using bleach with hot water, run a cycle with hot water and bleach. Or spray bleach +water mixture on the seal. Run a cleaning cycle with hot water and bleach or vinegar at least once a month to reduce the growth of mold in other parts of the washer. You can also try using 1/2 a cup of Washing Soda or 4 cups of baking soda Crystals and run the machine with no clothes in it. This would remove all the debris, lint & mold growth from the drain pump and drain filter. This would clean the mold from the door seal as well. Hope this helps...
