Hallow there ,i had the same problem ,,,,,this happens when your 3d cards due to over heart gets burst,so the computer will not start and it will show you a problem .... the 3d card gets burst if you kept the system on for a long time ,or due to flaktuation ,,,,,,

now to start the computer ,remove the monitor wire from the 3d card socked { the monitor wire will be attached to the 3d card remove from it and attach it to the motherboard socket }

Xfx video card stop displaying on monitor. I use xfx motherboard connector instead and display is OK

This is a BIOS problem, you have to boot to BIOS config menu, do it by pressing f1 or f2 or f10 on boot splash screen, browse the menus and find an option like 'init display first' or something like that, set it to Pcie or AGP, depending on your motherboard, reboot and voila!, have a nice day

I just installed a GeForce 6800 GT, it will work for a moment, then the screen fills with lines and it freezes and even loses signal to the monitor. Is this a driver problem?

try uninstalling it then reinstall it with your anti virus disabled. also if it works for a while then stops make sure that the cooling fan is comming on like it should

No signal on screen after install the new VGA card

No, you dont need any power to the Graphics card.

But make sure that the monitor is connected to the new graphics card that you have installed and not on the on-board VGA card. That should do it for you !

Black screen

try starting in safe mode, by pressing F8 when the computer first starts up keep pressing it, click, click, click not holding. then goto display setting in control panal, and change your monitor type, if you can't find your monitor listed use a defult 800X600 one. it sounds like your monitor is not capable of displaying the resolution xp wants to use.

Nvidia 6600 256 mb agp

Check the temps of your card using rivatuner and the cpu with speedfan to see if they are overheating.

Are you running either overclocked?

Is my Motherboard compatible?

Probably not. There is not quite enough information in your post to really help, but from what I'm finding on the GeForce 6800 GT, it is only available in PCI-Express and AGP 8x (AGP3.0) Versions. Your motherboard only supports AGP 1x, 2x and 4x (AGP2.0) cards.
