Question about Samsung HC-P4752W 47" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have the bible for this tv. but in order to get it to stay at the focus i want i need a diffrent remote. the remote i have is the stock remote but it dosnt have the add/delete button that is reqiured to save my settings for the focus.does anybody know were i can buy the remote i need. i dont have a cereal number for it, but if you can point me to a website that might sell them i can go by sight. please help i am getting a head ache watching my t.v. like this. or maybe somebody here knows what button to push on this remote in order to save my changes. just to let you know i am doing the convergence on it when you line up all the colors on the grid. after i do that the manuel says to push the add/delete button which dosnet exist on my remote maybe there is a diffrent button to do this on my remote.
Ok first of all, the convergence board you are looking for is no longer available from Samsung, probably because of the large failure these boards are having. The only thing to do though would be to replace the convergence amp IC's on the convergence amp board. this will involve locating the convergence amp board, going to http://www.samsungparts.com, entering your model number, without the /xaa prefix. Locating the list of parts for this TV set, and getting the right convergence amp IC's for this TV set. The numbers for the convergence amps are STK-392-040. You will also need to get the service manual for this TV set to perform touchup convergence, as well as to realighn the magic focus into the memory of this TV set. If you have the ability to solder and unsolder, you should have no problem replacing thes convergence amp IC's. But i will have to say this, about 45% of these TV sets do still have a problem after the convergence IC's are replaced. this is usually due to the burnt ground return resustors on the convergence board, so be perpared to know how to read a scematic diagram in the service manual and to trouble shoot the board. There is no simple repair to this problem I'm afraid, with this Samsung TV set. But , if at any time, you feel lost in the repair of this set, do not continue, and call out a pro to assist you in the repair of this TV set. Good Luck with the repair of this TV set.

Do not automatically think you need to go into the service menu. I bet you 100 to 1 that you pulled out a plug or a connector somewhere OR one is not seated into the plug all the way. If the set worked with color before you messed with it, there is not a problem in the service menu. The service menu is not the fix all thing. it is there to make fine alignments and adjustments, and as a matter of fact, messing with a service menu even with the service manual is very dangerous. I have seen peeps ruin TV sets by messing around with the service menu alignments. STAY out of these alignments. they are not going to fix a problem that all of a suddenly comes up. Repair the problem in the circuit first. Good Luck

1 they are either rebuilt or a defective returned to stock accidentaly
2 yes securly attaching it helps the heatsinks keep even cooler. no you don't need heatsink grease.
3 if the tolernace is very far out of wack then it woun't take long befor they blow. once you have instaled the new board turn on the set enter mute,1,8,3 then perfect focus on the remote let it do it's thing then shut off the tv and resart the tv and press perfect focus again.

No I haven't found a solution to the problem. However I understand that you have different options of support and some of them requires a payment service. I will try and get some assistance here locally in the area. Thank for the response.
