The belt is always associated with the beater bar. You will find the belt on one end or the other of the beater bar. Usually there is two longer screws holding a plate over the beater bar. Take that off and you should see the belt or at least where it goes.
You will need a spicial belt tool to change the bet on this unit. you can find it on ebey under "dyson spicial bet tool" do not try to use your hands. The belt is very tight and you can hurt your fingers if you get them stuck. let me know if this helps.
umm..yeah "how to change the belt" is phrase in an outline, or a table of contense. how about actually asking a question, slowfuck?
why do you need to change the belt? what is wrong with your brain? i mean, vacuum. head cavity. is the green light not on? did you break the belt? do you need to change the belt?
i'm not the internet psychic. i don't know what's going on inside your vacuum. you need to say these things. your question is like me saying "how to wipe my *******"
i'm not even going to answer your question...see the other posting i made, if they don't delete it for obscenity first.
http://geeksquad.fixya.com/ThreadView.aspx?prdid=0&thid=832643 Generic problem for all Vacuums I can't change belt Posted by jaw53t on July 25, 2008 I can't change belt Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Not knowing the brand name and model number for the vacuum but I can give you a generic way of changing the belt. You 1st need to remove the bottom plate by screws, levers or clips, then you can get @ the belt, if not then you should remove the top cover and then you can get @ the belt. 1st remove the belt from the brushroll and install the new belt on the pulley side of the brushroll and then use a belt puller or a screwdriver with a bend on the end and then stretch the belt onto the motor pulley and then track the belt in a straight line so that is running in a straight line. Replace the bottom plate and the belt change should be done. Please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

I lost my manual. Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. In order to change your belt I would need to know the brand name and the model # in order to give you the correct information to change your belt, so a little bit more information needed as to what you have and then I can direct you in the belt change. Normally there are screws in the bottom of the vacuum and once you remove the screws or clips you can either change it from the bottom or the top cover will lift off and then you can get @ the belt from the top.The average and recommended belt change for a flat belt is every 4 to 6 months and if you have a geared belt it is once a year for the best cleaning. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. You can change the belts from the bottom, remove the brush roll, then you can reach thru slot to change the pump belt, then the cogged belt. Wasn't sure which darwing you wanted, if it is electrical, let me know.
