This is worh a try. Use the format tool from here and see if it recognises it.If so then format it. I know it says it's for a USB device but card readers are connected to the USB header on the MoBo
If that does not work, delete partition and try doing formatting with a tool like the one below. If the software below does not fix the problem, then replace the card.
take the card to asda and ask if you plug it into there memory reader where they print photos to see if it opens.if it does it is your reader at fault.
Try inserting the card into the computer. Go to start , then my computer, right click on the drive that has the mini sd card. select format. this will restore the disk, emptying it and bring it back to new condition.
:)
most cell phones use the mini sd. Try inserting the smallest one and if its asking fot the big one just put the small one into the big sd card and then insert the big sd card into the phone. What type of phone is it
I have this phone to. I remember reading a long time ago, sorry I can't source it, but anything over 1gig the phone will not recognize. I have had 1gb sandisk and 1gb Lexar in my phone no prob. Try getting a smaller size card.
Blast slot with compressed air, especially if you use phone without the blank in thus mentioned slot for it has no cover.
If this has no affect, than it is a hardware problem. Go to a Cingular store that has someone that knows the phone, I'd call ahead.
Check the online manual, maybe.
Thanks for the solution but it is a brand new card.
I have the same problem as DCkingz
