I have a TDK DA 3826 2 disc recorder. I want to help my Dad convert his cassettes - many recorded live - onto CDs. I don't know how to wire from the cassette player output, to the CD burner and back to the amplifier (which is separate from the cassette deck) so we may listen and record. Probably could do it if I still had the manual, but it got lost in one of my last 3 moves (military nurse - moves around alot). I don't have the remote either. But I do have all the cables. I tried connecting the cassette output to the CD recorder input, then from the CD recorder output to the amplifier. I get no static, no music. With a blank disk in the recorder, when I hit the record button, the error message "No Audio" comes on. The cassette player plays the tape. The CD recorder will play any pre-recorded CD through the amplifier. I don't know where I'm making the error(s). Can you give me a recipe to follow? Thank you. Ronni
You need to use an audio CDr, data or computer CDr's will not work in this machine. I don't know this specific machine, but usually you select the input, then 'rec type' eg manual,1 track or 1 disc, then press record to get into record pause, start your source, then press play on the unit to start recording. To finalize, you press finalize then either the play or rec button to start the finalize process.
