I bought an Acer LCD AL-707 about 3 years ago. It worked fine until last week, when the screen automatically blacked out, and the stand-by light turned on. If I press the power button, it turns back as normal for about 4 seconds, and then turns off again.
Please kindly help... Thanks!

Re:
Sounds like a slightly damaged power supply. try powering up with an equivalent supply. if only an ac wall cord is plugged in for power, then internal supply is at fault

The problem can be bad capacitors in the power supply, look for bad caps with bulging tops or seal, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further. To have it repiared by the repair shop will not be practical, est $60~70 repair bill.
Your monitor is still under the 3-year warranty. Go to this Acer website https://secure2.tx.acer.com/FixMyAcer3/FixMyAcer.aspx to begin the process. Hope this helps.
