Battery/Camera problem My original battery was replaced after 6 years. I purchased a new Radio Shack Li-Ion 7.2V 1800mAh battery which lists the TRV-320 on the package. That battery lasted 6 months before I received an "infoLithiium System Error" message and the camera cut out. This happened more and more. Sometimes the battery will not charge. The icon flashes several times and then cuts out. I contacted Sony and they said that if the camera works with the AC adapter (it does), then the problem is the battery. There is a built in chip in the battery that can go bad. I purchased a second Radio Shack battery. The same problem persisted. The battery will be fully charged and indicate 225 minutes and still cut out. The length of time before cutting out is unpredictable. Sometimes ten minutes, sometimes ten seconds. Could Radio Shack have sold me two bad batteries? Sony's new solution is to send this seven year old camera to them and for $210 they will tell me what is wrong. Ugh! Please help.

Return the battery to Radioshack and try another brand of replacement battery. It is possible that the Radioshack battery is in stock for a long period of time. batterries have limited shelf life and it gets worse if they are left discharged for a long period of time.
