Whenever I charge my RazR - the phone doesn't ring or vibrate and I cannot hear the other person speak - it seems the soeaker doesn't work while the phone charges !
Have you used other chargers? Your EMU could be messed up or a bad charger. Try another to see what will happened or look at the pins in the EMU for damage. Unfortunately they still hadn't decided to cover the EMU like they did the Krazr. Are there any headphone setting that were changed? It seems to be using the charger as an external speaker. Have you power cycled or master reset?
I am having that same problem........my razor had a fall and when i picked it up back there was no sound also it wasnt able to charge however i opened it and i realized that the speaker moved a little so i put it back where it suppose to be........after i powered up the fone the sound was back but styll not charging..nor recongnized by the pc....

Hi - thanks for your ideas... yes I used different chargers - car and home chargers... and I tried a blackberry charger as well (problem here ?) and charging from the powerbook - so can the EMU in the phone be damaged ?
yes I did master reset and so on.
thanks...
Opened up my Razr this morning; dead. Plug it into the wall, it says the battery is charging, but I can't do ANYTHING else with it; call, sms, even turn it on. just keeps saying the battery is charging.
will the phone start working again when the battery is fully charged?
I have the exact same problem. I just purchased my Motorola RAZR v3c. And
when it is charging (through the charger included in the box, or through the specific usb charger made for the Razr), the phone won't ring or vibrate--which means I miss calls. I don't know how to fix this; any suggestions appreciated.
hi
my phone is v3.not charge pls tell what problams
Same problem. Not sure what happened to cause this. I just found out after a couple days of my phone alarm not waking me up...I did find a temp solution by simultaneously playing a ring tone while I plug it in, but the phone adapted to that after a few days...
I had a solution until my phone caught on to what I was doing...
All I had to do was simultaneously play a ring tone or just make it do any kind of noise as I plugged it in to charge. That solution only worked for a few days.
I've noticed that when it's plugged in charging and I make a call, it automatically has speakerphone on. When I turn speakerphone off, I can hear the other end, turn it back on, silence...ugh
