Follow the steps and fix it. God bless you

The power up test sequence has detected a key in the operated condition. The power up test

sequence is performed every time the unit is turned on (powered up). This test is performed

because a permanently stuck key will inhibit the correct operation of the unit.

Possible Causes

1. A key on the display housing is permanently stuck in the operated condition.

2. One of the upper PCA's keypad interface chips has failed.

3. Liquid (perhaps perspiration) is present on the surface of a touch sensitive display.

Possible Remedies

1. Remove the keypad connector cable from the upper PCA. Restart the power up sequence, if

the ERROR 5 is no longer present, the keypad is the cause. The keypad is typically part of

the display housing. Replace the display housing to correct the problem.

2. Remove the keypad connector cable from the upper PCA. Restart the power up sequence, if

the ERROR 5 is still present, the upper PCA is the cause. Replace the upper PCA to correct

this problem. Most upper PCA's are provided without software. Therefore, the software (chip)

must be removed from the upper PCA being replaced and re-installed on the replacement

upper PCA.

3. Wipe the surface of the touch sensitive display clean of all liquid. Restart the power up

sequence, if the ERROR 5 is no longer present, the liquid was the cause.

SOURCE: proform treadmill zt 5 runs but display is dead

If what you say is that all functions are working (start, speed up , down and incline up,down) then the upper console lighting may have loose wire harness( check first) bad soldier connection or the components that generate the images on the LCD are defective. If you have good connections on the wire harness then you may need to replace the upper console.

Avanti X-Fit 2 Treadmill: Speed Calibration

follow the steps and fix it. God bless you
The Steps for Newer Style Console Calibration
1. Locate the calibration area on the rear or underside of the console (a hole, near the console's center, that goes through to the electronics board. (This hole should not have a screw in it.)
2. Insert a pencil (eraser end), into the hole and feel around for the cal button (will click when pressed).
3. Press the button 2 times (with the pencil eraser). The first click should show CL11 in the console, the second click should show CL21.
4. If the process was done correctly, and CL21 appears in the console, you are in "calibration mode." The next few steps consists of pressing buttons on the console and observing settings. This will not require any other tools.
5. Press ENTER. CL22 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
6. Press ENTER. CL23 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
7. Press ENTER. CL24 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
8. Press ENTER. CL25 should display in the TIME window and (??) in the SPEED window.
9. Press ENTER. CL26 should display in the TIME window. You should then see the letter "E."
10. Press ENTER. You should see "SS" or "55" in the console.
11.Push the STOP/START button. For safety, at this point, you should step off, or be off, the treadmill.
12. Push the ENTER button. The walking belt should start to move, accelerate to maximum speed, then stop on its own.
13. When the belt stops, the incline should self test by raising to its highest incline position, then lowering back down to its lowest position.
14. Once the incline test is complete, push the POWER button 2 times. The unit should shut off and the console should go completely blank. If this happens, the treadmill is done calibrating and is ready for use.
15. If the letter "F" appears in the SPEED or INCLINE window when the power button is pressed 2 times, the treadmill is indicating a failure somewhere either in the SPEED or INCLINE (depending on the window the "F" appeared in). Troubleshooting the failure would be the next step.

My precore 9.43 starts to run then in 5 seconds turns itself off. Says ERROR- nothing more.

proceed according and fix it. God bless you

1 )Locate the reset switch on the underside of the treadmill console. Usually the button is large enough to trigger with a pencil eraser or Q-tip. Plug the treadmill plug back into the wall. Use the Q-tip to press the reset button. It may be necessary to hold the reset button down for a few seconds. "CL11" will appear in the display of the treadmill.

  • 2

Press the reset button one more time with the Q-tip. "CL21" should appear on the screen. Press the enter key. The display will change again and show "CL22." Keep pressing the enter key until the numbers cycle through to the number "CL26." Press enter one more time. The letter E should appear on the display screen.

F 5 shows in display no controls will work

follow this steps.

My FN=F5 fucntion to transfer my screen over stopped working...

Go to Start >Control Panel >Display or Personalization.
Go to change display settings and choose Multiple Displays.
Extend desktop

The verbiage may be slightly different due to differences in operating systems. You can definitely set it up in that section of Control Panel.

How to make the screen darker if fn keys don't work?

Hai,

1. Attach the connector lead of the monitor to your laptop
2. So you don't see the display? :D
3. The laptop has an Function key (Fn key next to the windows start key) on the keyboard. Press and hold the key, and hit the F5 or F8 key or that F key which has the monitor icon on it (it is F5 on toshiba and F8 on dell).
4. This should fix it.
5. Sometimes a high resolution to an extended screen can also be a cause of non-display. Just reduce the resolution of your new (additional) monitor to 800X600 and that must fix it.
6. If these two still don't fix, then your next bet is re-installing your display device drivers.

Hope this Helped!
Good luck!!

Fn F5 not working

You have to configure the settings for the external display (TV) in windows.(assuming that's your OS)
Go to control panel >display >properties >advanced and make sure the TV is selected and active as secondary display.

Verify that you get a picture on the TV when doing this, if you do - you're all set.
Restart the computer and the problem should be fixed.
