Is it possible to turn off the opening and closing sounds from Motorola? I know you can do this by turning off the sound before turning it off and then remembering to turn on the sound when you turn it back on but why should I have to bother?
There are "seem edits" for this. There are several sites that list them and have the edit numbers as well as software for these and many other functions. Do a search for seem edits. This is not a real problem but a mod.

Delete the pairing on the phone and then re-pair. Also ensure your headset is fully charged. It should autopair with your phone after a reset when you open boom if phone has bluetooth turned on and is in range.
When the door is closed the switch will close, allowing power to circulate through the rest of the circuit. When the dryer door is open the switch will open, breaking electrical contact to the neutral connection of the circuit and stopping the flow of electricity. so it sounds like a bad dryer door switch.
GO TO setting - control panel -open sound and audio device -open audio -go to sound recording and make shore your head set is listed in default device -open volume and increase the volume if needed - close every thing open skype and do a test on your head set by opening the test service I hope this helps
If you're sure the cover is closed, try opening it again then close it again. I know this sounds too simple but sometimes it may not latch properly. Opening it again then closing it will ensure you see and/or know its latched. The error should go away immediately.

the speaker wires are intermittent in the door because of faulty wire and the door opening and closing over time but the other side then must not work or if it comes on also after the door then there is a short to ground in the radio audio out wire in the door
