Unable to remove drum for cleaning

I have the machine taken apart, but still do not know just how to get the durm out and clean it. I think there is glue or tape on the drum. Thanks for any help. Chris

Remove the toner cartridge from the drum casing using the release lever. The drum is not to be removed from the drum casing. Just rotate the drum using the side button until you see the dirt mentioned. Use cotton swab to wipe dirt off. Be careful not to damage it. If that doesn't work, you need a need drum which is closely the same price as getting a toner cartridge. Refer to your Brother MFC 8840D manual that came with the machine. Alternatively, you can refer to the online manual.

Hello, Are the clothes still soaked? Have you moved the drain hose higher? Is the drain hose kinked? It is not at all uncommon for some water to remain below the drum.

How to remove a samsung 8kg top loader drum to pressure clean and remove black rubber like build up

No need to remove the drum. You can buy cleaning agents for the washing machine at the local supermarket. You have to actually run the machine in cleaner solution and you have to do this every 3 months at least.

My Brother HL 4040cn printer is leaking toner, black and yellow. It leaves spatter spots of these colors on printed pages. The machine does not have any messages. Do you know what this may be from or how...

If you've taken the printer apart and cleaned the belt unit and everywhere else in the paper's path, then it is probably either a bad toner cartridge or the drum. Since it's multiple colors producing splatter, its most likely the drum unit. Try taking the drum out and removing all of the toner cartridges and then clean the drums and corona wires. If its still producing splatter afterward, you've got yourself a bad drum.

Drum unit become jam and some tonner(copier ink) spots are comming on durm ........what was the solution for this problem

Hello,
If there is spots, lines and similar on drum surface, these means that you need to replace drum unit, because the drum cleaning blade, or primary roller, or drum is worn out.

Hope that helps!

There are black smudges from toner on the "green roller" of the cartridge. Please advise how to remove these - taking the unit out and cleaning all around, blowing out toner etc, has not worked. The unit...

You didn't include a model number, and "no" cleaning it and/or blowing it off won't help you -in fact may make things worse. The "Green roller" you talk about is the drum, it needs to be replaced - unless it's part of the toner cartridge, then that's all you need to replace.

Horizontal lines and tones specks around text

Only known causes are a dirty corona wire or a dirty/bad drum. If you know the drum is good, a thorough cleaning of the drum and cleaning the corona wire should clear up your printing.

Ricoh ft 3213 printing problem

Is it only when you use the top feeder? Check by placing an original on the glass and copying if the same fault then there are three possibilities

  1. Optics Dirty (Dust on the copying mirrors) Remove glass and clean the mirrors on the scan unit also remove the lens cover and clean the mirrors under there replace lens cover clean glass and refit. (Do Not remove any mirrors you can clean them in there place and use a glass cleaning solution)
  2. Toner Waste and drum cleaning unit full. Open front cover and split machine as to remove jam not touching the drum (Large Cylinder ) check there is no banding on there. IF so to the left of drum there is a unit that contains the cleaning blade and fills with waste toner remove vacuum out waste toner check that cleaning blade ok and reinstall. Close and check machine if ok then great if not could be fault number 3 or that the cleaning blade is worn and need replacing.
  3. The fuser section (Heat section) While the machine is split look at the bottom left you will see a Orange unit this is the fuser section that houses the heat roller which welds the toner to the page. Check that the top roller is OK that there is no toner stuck on it and the Teflon coating is even. If not then the fuser will need replacing and as you said that you are missing text the most likely faults are going to be the fuser or the drum or the drum cleaning blade.
I hope this helps you
Thanks J
