All of my wires are hooked up correctly but i am not getting sound out of the speakers. I can take it out and hook up the power and a speaker and it works.
I have the head unit hooked up and the sub plays but no interior speakers. Sometimes they kick on when I'm driving but very rarely. It's driving me nuts so if anyone can help please do.

Some pioneer Deh-XXXX, power lost = Memory lost, when reconnect power back, you need go DEMO and find PREOUT ( SW & FULL) setting, set it to full power out, then you can hear sound. Some pioneer Deh-XXXX, power lost = Memory lost, when reconnect power back, you need go DEMO and find PREOUT ( SW & FULL) setting, set it to full power out, then you can hear sound.

if your not getting sound either A you dont have power to it, B, the Wires arent hooked up correctly, C the Speaker Sound Bar is Toast. BUt i would take my chances that its A and B. Check your wires and make sure you have them hooked up correctly.
if im understanding correctly what you wrote. you hooked up the headunit to the car and no sound from speakers, then you hooked up a single house speaker up and that speaker works fine. the Ohms on the car speakers might be too high, but most likely sounds like the wires to the speakers are bad.
All you need to do is get the power, ground, and antenna hooked up then start with two colors matching, example: one purple and one black with purple line hook those up to a matching speaker wire then turn stereo on and go to balance setting choose back left if speaker does not sound then go back right and if speaker does not sound then try front speaker right and then left once you find correct speaker move on to next two matching remember to. Mark wires FL or fr or bl or back right. Good luck
If you have the audio cables hook up correctly to where the video cable from DVD is connected to, it should be RED and WHITE wires for audio. Then go to on screen audio setup menu to see if the speakers is turn off in the menu. Also try hooking up the powered PC speakers to the AUDIO LINE out RCA jacks to see if you get the sound OK there.
the speakers have a neg/positive wire make sure you hooked them up right easiest thing to do is hook up the power and start with two speaker wires once you have sound coming from a speaker label them with masking tape .
First we need to eliminate some possible install errors,
1.) is the deck turning on.... if not check to be sure power wires are hooked up correctly ,..... if deck is turning on and speaker wires are hooked up properly, this problem is usually caused by not hooking up the power wire to the factory amp, I'm not sure what color the wire is as they are different with many types of cars, as soon as you locate the wire hook that wire to your ignition wire to your raido usually the red wire coming out of the back of the deck.... when you are finished you should have your ignition power wire feeding power to the radio and the factory amp
What kind of car? What kind of system? More details will help me assist you better.
If it is an aftermarket in-dash stereo, it sounds like the blue/white wire is not hooked up correctly. This powers up the car's amplifier and lets the sound through.
