If there deep scratches you need to replace the outter layer and that could get expensive. Now if there small scratches a lcd repair kit would work. You can get those on line for the fraction of the replacment of the lcd screen.

unfortunatly there is nothing that you can do people may offer you creams and stuff of that nature but nothing really works im really sorry and i wish you the best of luck!
The only way to completely get rid of the scratches is to replace the screen. If you want to get a new replacement protective screen for this model, here is a link from a major parts distributor:
dont know about replacement but someone I know had a bottle of CD scratch remover and tried it one day, it worked wonders. They also confirmed that McGuiers plastic polish does an amazing job. Take your time, apply multiple times, and use a lint free sunglass wipe to apply and buff with.
The only supplier for parts is the Panasonic service rep and their parts distributors. To change the front panel transparent window is a fairly big job. In most models, the compete screen has to be removed.
You will find that the replacement window is fairly expensive. The labour would also be expensive because of the time involved.
What you should do is get it streight with your children to not touch the screen. Also, if they have allowance, you should cut if back by a fair amount for a long time to compensate for the damage.
If you look on the web, you can find a product that will restore the screen to its origional look by reducing and filling the scratches. Then, get another screen protector.
I have scratches on my Sony 42" LCD tv screen.
