Hi, I am getting significant rf interference with a mono mic. The interference becomes worse when I plugin in power. The interference is less when I plug the mic into a mono-to-stereo plug, and then the plug into the recorder, but the interference is still there. Any way to kill the interference?
The mic you purchased is a condenser type that requires either a battery(you now have), or a sony power supply. Without it, I would expect it to not do much at all. The specs look ok on it. Good for bootlegging concerts :)

Sounds like a grounding problem. Make sure you are using quality video cables with adequate shielding; other than that, check all your grounds on your equipment.
