About2 + years old, well taken care of, never used any of the custom settings, it displays the camera info fine, but no pic prior to shooting, when I look thru the viewfinder it shuts itself off , so that works

Most DSLR cameras (like your Canon) don't have a live view - in other words, you can't "see" the image before you capture it. You must use the viewfinder.

SOURCE: Blank LCD screen

The Display button manually turns the LCD display on or off to save batteries. If you accidentally had turned the LCD off, It should only take one press of the button to turn it back on and leave it that way. As such, it's not you but the camera. The A570 IS is relatively new. Your camera is likely still under warranty. If so, contact Canon for warranty repair (see the following link):

SOURCE: No display at all. But able to take pictures with Canon A75

Sounds like you might have accidentally turned the display off. Turn on the camera and press the DISP button once on the back of your camera.

It may be fixable, but it may be expensive. You also have the option to upgrade your camera through Canon's Loyalty program. I'd give them a call and find out what your options are before going out and purchasing a new camera.

SOURCE: My Canon EOS 1000D wont take photos, viewfinder flashes busy

Maybe you drop your battery and they have electronic components inside that could be spoiled, if is that the case, try to change the battery, it appeares to me that the ammount of current the battery is sending to the component is very low even thoe it seems to be fully charged that's why the camera is unable to display anything and the "busy" warning is blinking all the time, I hope you find this usefull.

Does the camera have an internal memory?

The 500D doesn't have any internal memory for picture taking. It won't store any pictures unless you insert an SD card in the slot just above the battery on the right side of the camera (when you are looking at the screen)

LCD Display. I got the Rebel T1i but the LCD screen won't view anythign unless I press the display button. How can I have the LCD screen on while I am taking picture? Please advise..thanks

The T1i does not have this feature, like most digital SLR cameras. You should just look through the viewfinder to take the photo, which gives you a much more precise view of the photo, where you can better assess the correctness of focus, etc.
This feature is called "Live View" and is available on some newer or higher end models.

My canon t1i rebel does not take pictures and says its busy?? wha

In the manual mode, you have to set the focus (distance to subject), aperture and shutter speed. Did you set all of them before you shot the picture?

Canon EOS Rebel T1i won't take a picture when I zoom.

Which mode are you on? When you zoom in, the maximum aperture size decreases to f/5.6 in the kit lens. Sometimes it may be too dark or shutter speed too slow so the camera doesn't shoot. If you're in "P" (program) mode, full auto mode or any of the Basic Modes, the aperture/shutter is auto. In other modes (Av, M, etc) you can turn the dial on the top of the camera to adjust shutter speed to a lower number.

I have new Canon 500d but i can't work out the LCD screen to display my live view to shoot. The screen displays only the Menu or the Shooting Settings Display. i have the same problems with Rina, Thanks...

I wish you know that you need to press LIVEVIEW button marked red Dot to enter live view mode.
Further more it will work in P,T,A,M modes and video camera modes only.Still it does not show live view the camera has a fault.
If this has solved it don't forget to rate me.
