Did you reset the drum counter?
When you replace the drum unit with a new one, you need to reset the drum unit counter by completing the following steps:

1. Turn the the machine's power switch back on.
2. Press Menu => Machine Info. => Reset Menu.
3. Press the Up or Down Arrow key to choose Drum.
4. Press OK.
5. Press 1 to reset the drum unit counter.
6. Press Stop/Exit.

Just reinstall the brother software.

If you were sucessul in clearing the jams , it seems possible that this was done with the power connected and so it might have distrubed the communication of the printer drivers. so it might need a reset and so remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer driver software and then connect the Printer to be detected and installed as a new hardware. Check printer properties to see the ink levels.
Use head cleaning before a test is taken .

This works on the Brother DR-510 and many others.

Brother Laser Printers:

After replacing the drum unit, keep the front cover open (make sure the power is on). Press and hold the "GO" button until all four LED's are lit. Once the four LED's light up, close the front cover. Make sure the drum LED is off. The counter is reset!
