Digital TV come and goes. Strength varies and you may find interferance can be an issue. The trees a new building. You may have to optimize your antenna or even purchase an amplifier for the signal from the antenna. Ask your nieghbors with similair systems if they are having trouble.

Don't count out a bad cable or antenna failure

That firmware update sounds like it "Bricked" your system, is there any way you can "Go back" if not then, you may need a Tech.

the fuse should be on the power supply board...it looks like a inch cylinger with metal caps....it's super thin filament too ....

I had this a issue with the Component input not working right as well. I had a repair tech come to my house to take a look on Philip's dime. Turns out it's the main circuit board. You cannot obtain this part from Philips. I've been in a fight with Philips to replace the TV. All this started in Aug 09.
