Question about HP DeskJet 970cse InkJet Printer
Hi, I have replaced the two cartridges in my HP Deskjet 970cse, and I still can't get the blinking red light (that supposedly indicates cartridge is out) to go off. I've tried cleaning the contacts on both the printer and cartridges, and still it doesn't want to work. Any suggestions?
I did the eraser thing, too, to the contacts on the printer. It worked!! Thanks. Dawn

Thanks for all the tips...I tried them but they didn't take care of the problem. I finally decided to clean the contacts on the cartridge by "scrubbing" them with an eraser....and that took care of it! I thought I would pass that on just in case somebody would have the same problem I did.
Thanks for this forum, all the response is educational and appreciated.
I have a HP Desjet 9800 and I have the same problem. I buy two Hp print cartridges and my printer does not recognize them. I clean the contacts with alcohol but it did not work
I want to know if it can be fixed or if I just lost my printer
Is there a way to clean just one color of the tri-color cartridge? Just put in a new cartridge and only the yellow is not printing.
