I have a Mdl RB2155BB and left the icemaker off for about 6
weeks. The solution to press the restart button caused the tray to
dump, but did not refill. My refrig has a special water supply tube
(you can recognize it by the braided stainless steel
looking exterior) that has an automatic shutoff if there is a leak. I
reset this tube by disconnecting it from the valve and then
reconnecting it. Tried another ice maker reset and got water plus
several pieces of ice. One more reset and all was fine. It seems that

To all could never get a under samsung service to come out to house, went to Lowes where we bought it told them the problem, this unit was a year old, they said bring it back and we will give you full credit,so this was our solution, we bought a new GE from them and because of our problems with the samsung the discounted the new GE 15 % thas what I call standing behind the products you sell

There is a simple solution but maybe not for the long run.
There is a black rubber button on the front of the underside of the icemaker. It is a reset switch. I was told by Samsung support that this is a common problem if the icemaker has been off for a while.
Mine wouldn't work out of the box and several resets later it is still not making ice consistently. It has been 2 weeks and it has yet to fill the bin. We haven't used ANY ice from the maker. If the best it can manage between resets is a few trays... I think its time for a return to the store.
I hope you have better luck.

The electric motor for the ice-maker is not turning...why? try disassembling and power motor with 115VAC cord from wall plug...be careful-ensure frig unplugged...using alligator clips...does it turn...can you hear it...it should turn VERY slowly.

What does the motor have to do with the water entering the ice trays, could it be line input supply to tray is frozen, how would unfreeze input to trays without defrosting the frig
