Im looking for codes for a sylvania tv

The codes to try for Sylvania TVs are 0054 0030 0171.

The manual and codes are available from the One For All support site: http://www.oneforall-na.com/remote.php?type=URC%203021 . The link for codes is at the bottom right of the page.

However, most remotes are limited to codes for devices released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed. If your TV is newer than your remote, then you may need to get a newer remote.

I hope this helps.

Technically challenged...need DVD to show on TV screen

hey 1st of all you gotta make sure that your son made tha right connections with the av cable (this is the cable with three different coloured pins) from your DVD to your tv. if this doesnt solve your problem then make sure you are using the correct av channel on your tv set that will allow you 2 play your DVD player because sometimes you cant play your DVD on thhe same av cannel you watch normal tv

Player doesn't recognize DVDs

I hate to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but the problem is not likely the motor. The player attempts to detect a disc present, once that has been completed, the disc will be spun. Since you have the unit open, try cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Next try a music CD. If the CD will play but the DVD will not, the optics have failed and need to be replaced.

Keep us posted.

Polaroid pdm-0732 wont read dvd

I just solved my issue. My 2 year old son set the AV switch on the side of the player to 'in'. I switched it to 'out' and now it works fine.

Supergirl tv doesn't stay on

This is an indication that there might be a cold solder connection in your unit. I would suggest that you have a qualified TV technincian look at your set to see if this is the problem. I don't believe that you have a startup circuit or a IHVT/HOT problem because you are able to get the unit working at times by plugging the set in. This sounds like a case of poor circuit board work. Just in case it is a startup circuit issue, you may have a faulty component in the primary power supply that provide voltage to the startup circuit.

Problem playing DVD's

Dear Kevy, Assuming that the problem was dirty lens, I think that you should try a cleaning disk (preferably the the brand recommended by your player's manufacture, if appropriate.) Was the "clicking" sound a normal one, basing on your previous experience? Make sure that all connections are properly done.

Turn off progressive scan mode

If you set progressive scant On by accident, you must reset the unit. Remove any disc from the unit and close the disc tray. See that "disc" is displayed on the display window. Now press STOP and hold it for more than 5 seconds before releasing it. The video output will be restored to the standard setting and picture will once again be visible on a conventional analog TV or monitor.
