Copied web links from google chome do not paste as blue

When I copy a URL web link to place in an email to send to a friend, it comes out black, not blue. This requires my friend to have to recopy the URL web link and place it in his / her URL address screen to pull up the web link. I uninstalled and reinstalled Google Chrome but go the same result. What is the fix as this has only started recently?

Make sure you have the http:// prefix copied in the url. Beyond that, I would think it would be up to the recipient's email client/program to display the link as clickable.

SOURCE: links won't open on clik in google chrome

First make sure that Google Chrome is set as your default web browser. if this doesn't solve anything the problem is from ym not from the browser. To fix this (it worked for me) open y messenger and log in, go to preferences-->General-->uncheck the box near "Open web links in a new browser window"--> hit OK. Hope this will help!!!

SOURCE: after uninstalling google chrome

Hi,
Looks as if Google Chrome was your default browser> Now since you have removed it, you have to make another browser as your default browser.
If you have Internet Explorer, go to internet options, select Program Tab, there you will find an optionto make IE as you deafult browser. Select it>OK.

That should solve your problem

I cannot send email because it is placed in outlook stating the server does not permit relaying

There's a lot you don't say in your message, but if your email is with a web-based email provider, like gmail, yahoo, aol, etc. You must use that account through a web browser and not with Outlook.

I most often see this when someone clicks on an email link on a contact-us web page that is connecting directly to an email address. The computer launches Outlook, but has no Outlook account.

Here's what to do, if that is what you are running into:
  1. right-click on the link in the web-page and choose copy email address.
  2. Next, bring up your web-mail account in a web browser and compose a new message.
  3. In the TO box, right click and choose Paste to paste in the copied email address.
  4. Proceed the same as you normally do to send an email message to that address.

How to send a 'Favorite' site

You didn't say HOW you want to send it.

But, in email, you can copy the URL (in the address bar at the top) and paste it into the email.

For me, if you put it on a separate line, this usually creates a clickable link.
If not, the recipient can copy the link and paste it in the address bar to have it go to that web site.

Links aren't live

Just a guess... If you've changed from rich text formatting to plain text, that could be the problem. If that's not it, and if your email recipients use Firefox as their web browser with Windows, tell them to select the URL link (highlight the URL text) and then right-click. In the context (pop-up) menu that appears, left-click "Open in a New Tab." This may work in other browsers, too.

Cant send web pages

Hi!

It won't allow you to send webpages as attachments, if you want to send the pages either paste the link so, that your friend can access that page.
Else, copy the content of the link and paste it in the message area and in this way it you can send the data you want to.

Please rate the solution.

Thanks

How can I send a link from a web page via email - there is no send option!!!

Hi!

I think the easiest way is to copy and paste the URL in your email.
Copy-and-paste refers to the popular, simple method of reproducing text or other data from a source to a destination.

Common keyboard shortcuts:
Copy: control-C
Paste: control-V
