I have a hp deskjet 895cse printer. Everytime it runs out of paper when it is printing the red light will flash and I don't know how to get it to start printing. I have loaded paper in the tray, but the light is still flashing. Any advice.

Usually the software that came with the printer will allow you to print in grayscale only or in black & white only...., but you will definitely need a color cartridge in the other holster (even if it is empty)...the printer has detection hardware that knows if the cartridge is physically missing...
When the printer jamed and you had to pull out the jam, the data being tranfered for that job got out of sequence. On Deskjets when that happens, you need to go to the print spooler and delete the job it is printing or you will have the same problem evertime.
there is a paper sensor in the paper tray , it will detect where paper is present or tray is empty. may dust cover the sensor, clean the dust on sensor and check where the sensor is working or not
I don't think there is one. You simply replace your paper with envelopes and configure your software accordingly. They would go in flap up if I'm not mistaken.
