Fantastic! I was just having the same problem when I read this article and pressed FN+NumLk(F11), then the keys started to work properly again.
SOURCE: how do I switch from the green keys to my regular keys?
it sounds like you have turned on either your language bar settings and sometimes switch to another language, there is a function key you are hitting causing the keys to lock on that setting
SOURCE: fn key active
This is not because Fn key its Num Lock key that changes jkl to 123. Just turn Num Lock button off.
SOURCE: Bilingual keyboard
There is a small green Fn button near the start button you will have to use this with shift to use the green keys if you are in multi lingual mode, if you only use the laptop for french you can also change the regional settings for the keyboard to Just French and then they will work just by using shift.
Hope this helps FixYa,
Chris
