Keys locked It started the other day. I went golfing and my phone was in my pocket; then I got a call but when I answered it there was nothing. The keys didn't work when I tried to call them back. the next day it was a little better most of the keys worked. after all day in my pocket at work they all stopped working again. now I got nothing!! I have removed the battery, tried cooling the phone down, left it off for a while, and nothing has worked. I have some very important information on my phone!! (important to me anyway) Is there anything else anyone can suggest? I carry insurance on the phone and can get it replaced for $50 but I still need to get the numbers n data off it.

Oh and the only button that works and has continued to work ALWAYS is the red power/hang-up button

Ok I saved all my numbers to my phone and not my sim card, because when I would save them to my sim card they would come up in the address book 2 times. Plus any scheduled events saved in the calender would be lost too; right?

You can get any Mini USB cable and a phone management software and backup the phone onto your computer, then when you get the new phone you can restore the information from your old phone onto this one. Also there is a Keypad memory battery inside the phone by the speaker, this is a cheap part and an easy fix and from the sound of it that's what is wrong.

Try moving your SIM card to an exact model borrowed phone...like at a Motorola kiosk at the local shopping mall...to retrieve the data
