Hello Sir, I am Eric Sykes and I am currently experiencing an issue with my Casio Exilim digital camera. I bought it approximately a year ago. About three months after purchasing the camera, it was unused for about ten months. After that period had passed, I decided to take it with me on a vacation. I turned it on and found that it had not been put back on it's charger to charge and the battery was running low. I had forgot to bring the power cable so I went to the local Wal-Mart to buy a power adapter. The camera demands a power input of 5.3V, the power adapter I bought had a power output of 5.6V. I plugged the power adapter into the charger, no results. The power adapter had failed to charge the camera. I tried to turn on the camera while it was in the charger, which had the recently purchased power adapter plugged into it and the camera screen first flashed green, then went black, and then refused to turn on at all. Upon returning home from my vacation, I plugged the factory issue power cable into the charger. Nothing happened, it too had failed to charge the camera battery. I fear that buying a power adapter which did not match the camera power specifications had broken the charger, hopefully not the camera. Could it be that I blew a fuse inside of the charger, or something? Or was it the camera that was affected? Please tell me what I had done and what I can do to fix it. I value your insight on this situation. Thank You, Eric Sykes
Well hopefully only the charger has be destroyed Can you get a new charger and also a new battery? Check out the Casio Website for availablilty
