If the unit is making ice and the water will work from the door but the does not dispense, you will need to replace the "auger motor". Here is the part to order.

There should be a float or electronic water level sensor that will tell the water to shut off, if it has calcium from the water on it or the float is damaged it will keep sending water until manually shut off(pull the plug). I would look for a water level sensor of some sort and clean or replace it. If that doesn't work it could be a sticking water fill solonoid which you should then replace

There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze

Can be clogged water passing line or faulty water valve.But if you have already checked the water passing line and it seems clear, then its most probably the water valve.---------

If your refrigerator has an ice dispenser, you are probably used to getting ice right away when a lever or button
is pressed. However, if you depress the ice maker button and nothing dispenses, there is an issue with your
refrigerator. There are a few different reasons why an ice dispenser would suddenly not work. It is important to
troubleshoot your refrigerator first to determine the problem. Some problems can be fixed at home, while others
must be repaired by a professional.

1. Remove the ice bin from the freezer and press the button on the front of the refrigerator for cubed ice.
2. Open the freezer door and hold down the switch on the door, which "tricks" the freezer into thinking the door is
closed, and push the lever or button to dispense ice. The motor behind the ice bin should turn. If it does not,
this means the motor is frozen.
3. Remove the motor, following the directions in your refrigerator's manual. Heat and dry out the motor with a hairdryer until the motor turns again, then reinstall the motor according to the manufacturer's directions.

You have a dual water inlet valve where your water supply connects. One goes to the ice maker and the other goes to the water dispenser by way of the water reservoir you mentioned in the fridge.

Open the door and hold the door switch down and try the ice dispenser. Do you hear any thing.You should hear the ice door open and the augur motor turning to turn the augur which pushes the ice out the door. If the augur doesn't turn Take all the ice out of the bin and try. perhaps the motor is too weak or the augur is locked up. Take the bin out and try to see if the motor will turn with no load. The motor is behind the back cover where the bin sits. See if you get power to it using a voltmeter when you try the dispenser. If you are, probably bad motor. If not ,dispenser switch or solenoid is not working.

When you push the ice dispensing lever, you should be able to hear the micro-switch clicking. If no click, the switch is faulty. The auger motor which is activated by the lever could also be faulty. This is the motor that causes the auger in the ice bucket to rotate one way for crushed ice and the other way for cubes. The auger could also be jammed. Try switching between crushed and cubes to unjam the auger. Empty the ice bucket and start again.
