SOURCE: No sound coming out of the left speaker

It sounds like you have a break in your cord right where it joins the plug. You will either have to replace the plug or buy new headphones.

I am having problems with our daughter's tv. The volume isnt working now even though the picture is fine?

Have you looked at the headphone jack? Sometimes a set is left plugged in and sound wil not come out of speakers.

Also, look at cable box. It can sometimes have a separate volume control.

last, if you plug in a set of headphones and you hear sound, pick up a pair of inexpensive powered speakers and use those.

How to find JVC AV27320 headphone jack? I've plugged into the avs(red & white) in the front panel as well as the extra ones in the back. Altho - I CAN hear the sound thru the headphones, The external...

This model doesn't have a headphone jack. The only JVC TV in the series that does is the model AV-20D202. For the JVC AV-2732, use the RCA audio out jacks with an RCA to 3.5 mm adapter to connect to the headphones. The front audio jacks are audio in (for the audio from a video camera for example).

When you use any external speakers or headphones through the audio out jacks, make sure to turn off the TV speakers. Press Menu and navigate down to TV Speakers (up/down arrows). Then use the right/left arrows to select Off and then Exit the menu. Make sure you scroll the TV volume before doing this. Note: if your headphones do not have a volume control they are a bad choice for this type of audio output.

You can find the manual for the TV here: http://books.jvc.com/booklist.asp?Model=AV-27230 .

I wish that I had better news for you.

Cant turn up volume my compaq presario laptop

Ok it could be a few things, I am assuming that you are using XP and its a laptop, so lets try these:
  1. Can you turn up the volume by using Control Panel -- Sounds and Audio Devices --- Device Volume slider?
  2. On some Compaqs, the controls for audio are activated by holding down the FUNCTION key (usually blue letters on key on the left side of keyboard) and then pressing the audio up or audio down key. These keys are usally towards the top of the keyboard. These keys can do multiple things depending if the blue function key is press down first. They can control things like switching between internal and external displays, turning up/down the brightness on your laptop display and controling your audio levels too.
  3. Do you hear any sounds at all, if not, does Device Manager list your sound device?
  4. If this is a desktop PC, number 2 does not apply.
ok try those and let me know, Thx! =)

Getting sound from speakers when heaphones are plugged in.

Hi,I know that the earphone jack usually has the switch built in, and often it takes a certain "End Shape" on the Headphone Plug to actually "Activate" it... I am wondering if this is not actually your problem? and maybe ya just gotta get the "Right One"? Sometimes I have seen the "Switch" in the Jack fail and cease to "Cut out" the speakers... which generally means replacement.

Problems changing volume & sound horrible

Your player is flipped. It thinks that it's connected to an external device, and acts as if it in line out output. When outputing to line out, you really don't have volume control, and you hear it right with the headphones, you would be missing some amplification. Try to reverse the actions that choose line output: Press and hold BACK. The Home menu appears. Press the arrows to select the settings icon(looks like a suitcase), and then press play/pause. Press the up/down buttons to select Audio Output and press play/pause. Now you should see "line out" selected. move the arrows to another setting - headphones if available, and press play/pause. Now unless something is really wrong with your player it should work. If it doesn't, use your warranty if valid, send for repair. Good luck
