Thanks for your solution, having read a few more problems I have tryed tapping the side of the TV and this removes and brings back the black lower part of the screen, could this also mean that it is probably a loose connection/solder joint and would this be on one of the boards that you mentioned, either the Y main board or lower buffer board?
