Selecting source for 3000f

I got the driver installed fine, every time i go to scan, it comes up with "Select a Source" Box but theres nothing in it for me to select Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hi, I've about the same problem as described, but I'm a bit further already: XP itself perfectly detects the scanner, and I can run the device test successfully, so no cabling or driver issue. Anyhow no way to select this 3000(F) scanner. But, the very similar scanner 3200F gets perfectly detected, shows up in the scanner selection, and is fully usable. All driver and toolbox versions are the latest and greatest and come from the www.canon.com.au site. TIA Wolfgang.

Hi, a possible explanation why the CanoScan 3000F does not show in the Source Box selection is because Windows does not recognize it as being connected. To check, you have to go to Device Manager, Imaging Devices, expand it and see if the CanoScan 3000F is installed. If it is not there, then you would have to reinstall the drivers. Another possibility is a faulty USB cable or the USB port connector itself. Try a different cable or a different USB port. Another way of looking at it is that you were able to install the scanning software but not the actual driver(s) of the scanner. Hope this be of help to you. Good luck and pls post again how things turn up.

Scanner will not form feed

There is an option in the dialog box where you select the paper source either ADF (chute) or flatbed. The options differs depending whether you are using twain interface for scanning or isis.
You need to select the proper source. If the paper source is correct then, probably, the paper sensor in the chute unit is not operating properly.

When i am going to scan at that time in the screen select the twin source. what is the twin source of canon canoscanlide25

Hello,

The prompt is probably asking you for the TWAIN source to use. In that box, simply select the Canon TWAIN source. If one isn't present, install the TWAIN drivers for this scanner.

Hope that helps,

I have HP Officejet J3680 All in one I wanted to scan a document but it is saying there is not option..

canning functionality from the LJ3380 and CLJ2840 series All-in-One devices may not function until the correct Twain Data Source is selected by the user. This can be done by attempting to scan from the foundation scan executable "hppscan2.exe ".
  • For the LJ3380 series this is located in C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard\LJ3015_LJ3020_LJ3030_LJ3380->hppscan2.exe
  • For the CLJ2840 this is found in C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin->hppscan2.exe
When the "hppscan2.exe " is launched from this location where it resides, a dialog box will open with a "Select Source " box listing the installed Twain scanning devices available. If this box is not seen, then there is only one Twain device installed. In some instances user input is needed to chose the "correct" Twain data source for scanning to be successful from the LJ3380 and CLJ2840 series devices. If the incorrect Twain data source is selected- an error "Cannot initialize device " will be seen.

Scanner not working on Canon MP 210

As for the drivers, go to the following link and then click on the "Drivers and Downloads" tab, then choose your operating system. It should then give you the drivers under the "Driver" heading right below the operating system drop-down box. The software is there as well.
