Is Washer alone plugged into outlet? Unplug washer and try plugging something else in. Does anything else plugged into that outlet trip the breaker? Also Washer should be only thing that runs on that outlet. Breaker could be bad. If breaker is serotonin be good, take Washer back as you said it was new.
Thanks for choosing FixYa Karen and welcome. You can unplug the washer for 30 minutes and plug it back up to reset the washer. Make sure the outlet works. Next, check your power cord. Wigglle it while plugged in to see if the power comes on. Inspect the cord first for damage before you do that. If the outlet, breaker, and cord is good, you need to check the fuse to the washer. If it still has no power, you may have a bad control board. Due to the fact there is no power, it is probably electrical. Inspect all wires in the washer for damage. You may need a voltage meter to test for power in the cicuits.
Inside your breaker box usually its marked. If not check breakers to see if any are tripped. If non seem tripped your going to have to go one by one. Plug light into outlet to see if it works first. If it dont proceed to test each breaker individually. If it does light up than you have a problem with your washer not the outlet. Also if you have a meter to test the outlet to see if you are getting power. Please contact me back and let me know if the outlet has power. Also please include Make and model of washer also model number of washer. Thank you
Plug a light into the outlet used for the A/C, if the light does not come on when reset then the circuit breaker that provided the power to the outlet need to be reset or replaced.
Something to try. Get a short HD extension cord and plug the washer in to a outlet just outside of the kitchen and see if a different breaker trips. Turn off and or unplug all small appliances when using washer. Could have a defective breaker. Good luck, best regards.
1) As much as I hate to say it, most of the time devices that aren't turning on are not plugged in. If the device is unplugged, plug it in. (Sorry)
2) Check the outlet. Plug in something that you know works into the same outlet. If it does not power on, check that there are no flipped breakers in your breaker box.
3) Some outlets/breakers have a red Reset Button on them that needs to be pressed to reset the amount of charge in the outlet.
