I need programming info on an old RCA Universal remote...
The remote model number is CRK93J1

I found this after searching online just a little short of forever. If you still need it, here it is-
1)Hold TV button down then press on/off button to light comes on.
2)Then press on/off button to search for the code then it will turn off.
3)Don't hit any buttons.
4)Press stop button your remote will turn off auto search, it will work now if so simple to program the Remote.
I stopped after step 2 and it worked fine.

Bagdad obviously didn't read the question correctly or did not read the website he's referred people to. My remote is identical to the one in the picture- RCA VSQS1508 with neither a "code search" nor an "indicator LED" I've been searching for the last month now as I see no reason in throwing away a perfectly good universal remote control......well perfect except for the fact that I do not know how to use it. FIXYA tech's please note the absence of the "CODE SEARCH" button as well as NO LED or any other lighting including power buttons when giving help to people who have this or similar remotes. --Matt

I'm having the same problem. My rca remote doesn't have a code search and that link you provided is programming info with remotes with code search.

I have an older RCA TV Remote control ... the numbers on the inside of the battery conpartments are CRCU301 and 3335P ... I can't seem to find it on line ... It does say RCA on the front and only has 15 buttons all together ... I know the code is 062 but can't recall how to set it up ...
