Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off.
I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with
the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the
printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud
Try to re-seat the cartridges in the printer. Open the printer
cover > remove the cartridges > close the printer cover > re-brick you
printer by pulling out the power supply - black box behind the printer where
the power cord is plugged in, and re-plug after 10 seconds. When the printer
turns on, reinsert the cartridges and close the cover. Try to print a document
again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If that doesn't help, the problem could be due to a clogged print
cartridge nozzle. Please follow the steps below to fix print quality issues
with your model:
From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks.
Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through to clean the print
cartridge nozzles.
After printing the test page, try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If new toner was installed and it prints blank pages, please try to print a menu settings page to determine if the problem is part of the printer or an issue external to the printer.
If the menu settings page prints correctly, the source of the problem is external to the printer. To find out if the problem is only with a program, try printing from a different software program. To find out if the problem is only with a particular computer, try printing from a different computer.
If the menu settings page is blank as well, this will narrow the source of the issue to a part on the printer. Please contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.
