Why does the EnV refuse to have peace with me? I'm on my 6th or 7th. The charger kept breaking loose on the inside of the phone, the screens crack for no reason, and the most recent 2 phones have given me the Use Genuine Battery and even the replacement they sent me which I have now gives Use Genuine Battery to me....but that's not why Im here.... I've used Verizon for 2-3-4 years I guess now? and never has it given me a problem with pix messaging but low and behold. Now I cant receive or send pix messages. It worked fine up until a couple days ago. What is wrong with it? I tried connecting to AIM, Yahoo, and MSN on my phone which always work and I cant connect to them. I can text message fine and talk to people fine on my phone. Cutting my phone off and on simply isnt an option. Use Genuine Battery will rob me of another days use of my EnV and besides I've been shutting my EnV on and off for past week because it keeps giving me the stupid glitch where cant delete text messages. Anyways, how can I fix it to where I can receive and send pix msgs again?

This one is VERY tricky. I wouldn't let anyone touch it unless they had a lot of experience taking apart phones and putting them back together. Basically, the LCD screen (all LCD screens) is stuck on your phone by a really strong adhesive sticker. I DO NOT recommend trying to pry it off because it will only break or crack a screen. What you have to do is unscrew those tiny little screws that connect the surrounding body of the phone to the LCD screen, then pop off the body of it. Then, CAREFULLY unstick the screen, replace it, and put it back together.

You should'nt remove a delicate screen You might hurt the inside of the screen and have to get a newer phoneifyou do. Takeit to you're local Phone place orwhere you got it from.

Well, in my experinece, one of two issues. You said your charger port is bad. Thats not good. It will give you enough juice to barely turn the phone on and it goes out. MOST phones will do that. IF you know your charger port works, try a new battery, if it doesnt you have to get the charger port fixed as it will just constantly act as if the phone is dead, even if you put a new battery in it, it will blink on, touch a button eats up the battery bars and dies. craigslist.org usually has alot of cell phone repair people on it. depends on your community.

You said the new battery worked but wont charge in the phone. You had water damage to the phone before getting the new battery correct?

First remove any Mini S/D card in the phone, power it off and remove the battery. ( only do this if its out of warranty and nothing else works. ) Your need to take the phone apart and get some alcohol wipes and wipe down the circuit board and connectors and anything that may have had water on it, if you see any crude, try to rub it off, there may be water and crude built up on contacts from the water damage that may be shorting the phone. Also check the battery contacts for greas or crud on the contacts. Once you have wiped down everything the alcohole should evaporate and take any moisture with it. Leave it out for a day dis assembled so it can air dry completely.

Put phone back together and hook up the charger and see if it charges. wait to put the memory card back in as in case you screwed anything up, you dont want it to take out your memory card with it.

I have performed this task with many of my friends cell phone that have gone through washing machines or got moisture in it because they take there phones into a steamy shower and moisture ends up shorting it out.

If nothing else works and you want to try it, go for it.

remember theres 6 screws in back and 4 around the mainscreen that are covered with triangular sticky covers, then use a thin knife or something to pry from one of the corners, one it gets started you just have to pop it apart with your fingers. Everything snaps back together easily.

Be carefull on the side with the screens, you dont wanto to pop apart the front screen from the mainscreen as its a pain to keep together when putting it back, also dont get any dust or fingerprints on the screen as they will drive you nuts if you put it all back together and theres a greasy fingerprint under the plastic that protects the screen.

I've had my enV for about a year, now. within the first month, I cracked its screen. I have both insurance and a warranty for it, but Verizon is unimpressed-- they suggested that I either purchase a new model, or perhaps buy the enV 2. it's whatever.

sorry you can't do that anymore some parts of your phone is damage, yes you can charge in electric using A/C because current flow is constant while battery is low.
