I had the same problem. Check coolant tenperature sensor. It gives cold signal to engin, even hot temperature and pump up too much gas. When you open the engin hood, it is located at right side. Just follow the radiator hose about 50cm and you can find small yellow metal bolt like.
It cost you $45 CD at dealer, but on internet market you can get under $20. Very easy to change. Put some sealant to avoid leaking coolant. Good luck!

if jump time that should be it timing marks and the tensioner are to lined up an also install new tensioner and recommend water pump if driven by the timing belt. if it has bent valves cause you jump time usually the car won't trun over at all.
