The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

Assistance with rectifying as to why my LG top loader stops once it gets to the spin cycle. Can someone assist?

Before the washer can start to spin it needs to drain the water from the drum. By you having to drain the water from the machine indicates that the drain operation is not happening. This in the majority of the cases is a bad drain motor.

When its on a wash cycle it does not spin flasing letters come up

Flashing letters are probably an error code. Check your owner's manual for troubleshooting. If still in warrantee, call the Customer service line. It's possible it does not like the out of balance load in the spin cycle. Try to rebalance and try the spin again. May take several tries to get the right balance.

My machine stopped mid cycle and displays the letters dc, flashing. What is happening? thank you

I believe The dc code is due to an "unbalanced" load situation. Is this happening when it tries to spin? I know some washers have switches that sense this. Is this in the wash or spin cycle?

My washing machine stops mid wash and on d LCD display it has the letters OE sometimes the machine doesn't spin an if t does the cycle it doesn't let the fabric conditioner go n the was

An OE error presents if the washing machine has not successfully drained the water in ten minutes. However, the OE error code does not always mean that the washer requires a service call. If periodic maintenance has not been performed on the washer, there are a few simple steps to take before calling for service. Clear the filter located on the bottom left on the face of the machine. You will find a access panel located there that you need to open. richroth_61.gif Happy Holidays The FixYa Team

NEC Washing Machine when it comes to spin cycle stops and just beeps with the 'OE' light flashing.

Well, what does that mean? Old Engine? Octopus Entering? Oily Electricity? Darn. No clue from that light, is there?

My guess is that it thinks there is an uneven load. Assuming that you've straightened your load, I'd say it must be a bad uneven load sensor. And unfortunately I don't know where that is located. So I guess I'm not much help. Sorry.
